Situation
Renewance Inc., specializing in industrial battery management, required a comprehensive UX/UI design for their new software services. The challenge was to create an intuitive and scalable web application from scratch, which would serve as a critical tool for stakeholders and potential investors to assess the company’s capabilities.
Task
My objective was to develop a web application that would not only facilitate battery usage monitoring and health assessments but also include features like e-commerce capabilities, dashboard analytics, maintenance alerts, and end-of-life management. The goal was to create a platform that could grow with the company and adapt to future needs.
ACTION
I led the design and development of multiple key sections of the app, focusing on a user-centric approach and leveraging extensive user research and feedback. This involved:
- Conducting comprehensive user research and usability testing to gather insights and ensure the design was intuitive and met user needs.
- Collaborating closely with stakeholders and a three-person programming team in an agile environment, iterating on design based on user feedback.
- Developing a tailored e-commerce section, incorporating user feedback to facilitate seamless buying and selling of batteries and parts.
- Implementing a user-centric design approach, focusing on intuitive navigation, dashboard analytics, maintenance alerts, and end-of-life management features.
Result
Successfully deployed a fully functional web application that satisfied all user requirements and aligned with business objectives. This platform not only served its immediate purpose for stakeholders but also secured essential funding, demonstrating its potential to support future business growth.
